ABOUT OUR SOLAR FOLDING PANELS
Will Hail Damage my Solar Panel?
Small hail will not be a problem for the factory hardened and tested glass of the solar panels. However, the panels may still be prone to damage from larger projectiles.
Where do I face my Solar Panel to optimize power generation?
The Solar panels should be placed in full range of the sun and perpendicular to that of its rays. If you are unable to move your Solar Panels your best option is to position them facing north at a 45 degrees angle.
Will dirty glass on the solar panel reduce its power generation?
YES. It is important to keep the panels clean from any substances that will cover the glass including; bird droppings and dust. The panels must be cleaned with a soft, moist cloth.
What can I run with my Solar Panel?
Appliances will be run from the battery that is connected to your Solar Panel and not directly from the panel itself. The amount of power you Solar Panel can generate is dependant on the size of the Solar Panel and the amount of sunlight it is exposed to. If you intend to have appliances running continuously from your battery you must ensure that the level of power being generated by your Solar Panel is greater than the power consumption of your appliances.
Will my Solar Panel still be able to generate power on a cloudy day?
Yes however, the Solar Panel’s capacity of power generation will be decreased.
I have my own Regulator can I bypass the controller on the panel?
YES. Simply disconnect the plug between the controller and the black box on the back of the Solar Panel. Connect your charging lead into the small black box on the back of the Solar Panel. (Remember, this power will not be regulated and should not be connected directly to the battery without first going through a regulator.
